Akkeshi Kanro is the first whisky released by Akkeshi distillery in 700ml bottles
Total Production 15.000 Bottles, split half in Japan and Half in the Rest of the World. 60 bottles allocated to Australia. Most of the barrels on this vatting were distilled in 2017, its a blend of Bourbon Cask, Wine Casks, Mizunara Oak and Sherry Casks.
Kanro means "Cold Drops of Dew"

Heavy Peated Scottish Style whisky
Nose: Smoke, sea spray, seaweed, put off charcoals, mesquite smoke, and behind the smoke subtle over ripe strawberry, pickle juice
Palate: sweet/salty start, lots of smoke in the mid palate, lots of salinity, like seawater, pleasant heat and good lengthy finish of smoked mushrooms
