Clase Anejo is a special product, one that shows the true, delicate craft of the tequila inside proudly on it's exterior. The bottle shows it's grainy, natural finished complexion and proudly boasts a 24k gold badge pinned to its chest. It grows old with grace, there's no Botox here. The nose is very pronounced. The usual fruit and vanilla that we have come to expect are still ever present, but the 25 months sitting in an ex bourbon barrel, which is enough to qualify this as an Ultra Anejo although it refuses to brag, has mellowed these notes together with a large level of oak to join the mix. The liquid leaps onto the palate, making a pronounced impression with caramel and oak, vanilla and spice joins in at the end and just keeps going. It's a fantastic drop with clever balances of flavour.
