Angelo Gaja is known to make some of the most sensational wines in Italy. Taking the expertise and skill of traditional Italian wine making and fusing it with a new world approach creating vino that commands respect from drinkers and producers right around the world.
This Sito Moresco is a a blend of Nebbiolo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. A medium bodied red that is sure to please all drinkers which is probably why this wine was voted in the top 100 wines in the 2015 international wine report. On the brighter fruity side with cherries and plumbs with a well balanced tannic structure this wine is one well worth adding to the collection. Can be cellared for a few more years or enjoyed right now.
Food pairings for this would be red meats like lamb and beef but would be ideal for gamey meats like venison or kangaroo.
