Robert Labeyrie was born into a family from the Landes, in the southwest of France. He set up stall at the Bordeaux market to sell his products (foie gras, Adour salmon and game). Since 1946, Labeyrie has built a strong position in the markets of foie gras and smoked salmon. They also extend their expertise to other categories of products (terrines, scallops…) in order to bring you new pleasures not only during the festive season but all year long. The term "confit" means to preserve, by the meat being cooked in it's own oil or fat. This tin of 2 duck legs are cooked and preserved in duck fat. Labeyrie duck confit is made respecting the grand traditions of gastronomy from the South-West of France. It is prepared in duck fat capturing all the aromas, taste and tenderness of this delicate meat.
