Teuta San Guido is one of the most championed areas in Italy and one of many shinning lights amongst Tuscany wine producers. A rich history dating back over 70 years Tenuta San Gudo is certainly most famous for their renown Sassicaia the ‘super tuscan’ wine.
This Guidalberto is a blend of 60% Cab Sav and 40% Merlot then barrel aged for a little over a year. A delicious wine that offers a lot of structure, the nose is delicate rose petals and herbs but the palate opens up to deep luxurious layers of berry fruits, staranise with great acidity and well balanced tannic structure.
Food pairings for this would be cheese, mushroom or garlic dishes, and foods with deep umami character.
