Ledaig/Tobermory is one of our favorite distilleries, because of the wide range of flavour profiles. This release for the range Artist Collective #4 is a great example of the rish and hevily peated style. This was only a marriage of 2 casks and the whisky was brought back to 48% to allow its better enjoyment.

Nose: There is a lot going on here, charred smoked wood upfront followed by white flowers like jasmine, no faints, just pure hickory smoke and florals come through which behind show a bit of passionfruit.

Palate: Seasalt and spice, followed by some sweetness from the glicerol, and then becomes dry and peppery, i would say sechuan pepper as it kind of tingles and nums the tongue for a bit. The taste of charred BBQ burnt ends is left on the palate.

Overall: Sweet and salty, everything we want on a peated whisky. the length is superb, the oils stay in your tongue for so long that it makes you have another sip straight away, very mourish whisky
