The Distillery

Glen Grant Distillery is located in the Speyside region of Scotland, near the town of Rothes. It was founded in 1840 by brothers John and James Grant, who had previously worked at several other distilleries in the area. The brothers saw an opportunity to create a distillery that would produce high-quality single malt Scotch whisky using traditional methods and with a focus on innovation and experimentation.

Over the years, Glen Grant Distillery has undergone several changes in ownership and has been expanded and modernized to increase production capacity. In 1953, the distillery was acquired by the Italian company Campari, which has worked to preserve the distillery's heritage while also modernizing its production methods. Today, Glen Grant Distillery is one of the largest producers of single malt Scotch whisky in Scotland, with a focus on producing high-quality whiskies that reflect the unique terroir of the Speyside region.

Glen Grant's whiskies are known for their light, fruity character, with notes of apple, pear, and vanilla. The distillery's commitment to innovation and experimentation has led to the development of a range of unique expressions, including cask-strength whiskies and limited-edition releases. Despite its large-scale production, Glen Grant remains committed to traditional whisky-making methods, including the use of copper pot stills and wooden washbacks. Its whiskies are highly regarded among whisky enthusiasts and have won numerous awards for their quality and character.
