J.Bally Martinique Rhum Vieux Agricole 700ml. 43.5% ABV

Cuvee Art Deco Batch 2 Conquete

Nose: Full and rich. Evoking an apricot tart, marmalade or even a quince jelly. The initial nose reveals cane sugar sweetness, bitter chocolate and citrus zest. Beautifully balanced and displaying great elegance. With air, its fruitiness gains intensity, with blood oranges replace the zest and exotic fruits (mango, passion, persimmon) alongside black and red fruits (blackberry, raspberry). Sublime scents of petunia and honeysuckle punctuate the first stage of the tasting beautifully.

Palate: Soft and balanced. Full of freshness, the attack on the palate spreads cane sugar over the taste buds with spicy ginger and liquorice accents. On the mid-palate, notes of tobacco, caramel and lime blossom honey capture the entire palate. Gradually, candied ginger, dried fruits and cinnamon rise to the surface. Chocolate and floral freshness arrive late on the development.

Finish: Long and silky. Ginger and cocoa powder.

Resulting from the assembly of three vintages – 1999, 2006 and 2007 – the second edition of Bally Art Déco shows from start to finish an absolutely remarkable balance and freshness of expression. Bright and generous, its aromatic and taste palette notably features an alternation of fruity and floral sequences of incredible diversity and rare depth, as evidenced by the particularly rich finish.
