Neisson Profil 107 Agricole Rhum from Martinique 700ml 52.8%

This Rhum is matured for 14 months in a 190 litre used American Oak before being finished in a 225 litre heavily charred cask. This Rhum is using sourced sugar cane from Neisson's own forty hectare sugarcane farm planted in La Carbet which benefits from the towns mineral rich soils due to its proximity to Mount Pelée as well as high sunlight exposure and a good fluctuation of rain and temperature variation. The fresh sugar cane juice is then fermented for 72 (one of the longest fermentation times of the French Indies) and utilises natural yeasts and bottled at 52.8%

Nose: Toasty oak and coconut, soft grassiness and sugar cane.

Palate: Noticeable oak character and spice, with a touch bit of peppermint, citrus and cane juice.

Finish: Lingering oak tannins and spice, soft oak charr mixed with a gentle maritime and herbacious note.
