A Rich, Fruity Expression of Our Flagship Single Malt

This limited edition is a unique sherry cask expression generously using whiskies aged in two types of sherry casks: Oloroso and Cream. This expression explores Kanosuke's style of mellowness, while retaining the spicy Japanese "wa" nuance from the shochu casks that is a core part of Kanosuke's profile. There is also a touch of new American white oak to add a touch more depth. The whisky offers an aroma of dark cherry and rich flavlour reminiscent of fruit pound cake. On the palate, gentle waves of mangosteen leads to a serene finish, like a sunset by the sea. 

Kanosuke Distillery

Founded in 2017, Kanosuke Distillery is already making waves in the world of whisky, with its innovative approach to production and maturation. The distillery itself is located in Kagoshima Prefecture on the southern Island Kyushu. Kanosuke also has a long history of distilling shochu in Japan, allowing them access to their very own shochu casks. Their combination of traditional whisky making techniques with the addition of ex-Shochu barrels for maturation create a unique whisky profile not found elsewhere.
