Akkeshi Taisetsu Single Malt Japanese Whisky 700ml | 55% ABV

Akkeshi Taisetsu is part of the distillery's series inspired by the 24 traditional Japanese seasons. Taisetsu means Heavy Snow, marking the period when snow is at its heaviest and local bears move into hibernation.

This release is lighter in peat than Akkeshi is often known for, with medicinal, pastry and vegetal notes on the nose. The palate brings honey, agave, herbaceous detail and light tropical fruit, before a finish of citrus peel and soft smoke. It is a seasonal Akkeshi with the distillery's coastal identity dialled into a more restrained register.
