Refunds and Returns Policy
We comply with the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if the goods you purchased:
- Are faulty or unsafe;
- Do not match their description; or
- Fail to perform as promised.
These rights cannot be excluded, and apply in addition to the policy below.
We only accept the return of unopened items within 30 days of purchase for change of mind. Refunds for change of mind will be issued only as store credit.
In the exceptional case that we decide to issue a refund for change of mind:
- If payment was made via credit, debit, or EFTPOS, the payment provider’s transaction fee will not be refunded, as the provider does not reimburse these fees.
- Refunds due to a change in postage choice will be issued only as store credit.
If you need to return an item, please contact us at sales@casadevinos.com.au with your order number and details about the product you wish to return. We will respond with instructions on how to proceed.
Faulty or Damaged Items Policy
If your package arrives damaged, please DO NOT ACCEPT delivery. Instead, return it immediately with the courier or Australia Post.
If you (or someone on your behalf) accepts a damaged package, you must:
- Take clear photos of the damaged item and packaging;
- Notify us at sales@casadevinos.com.au within 48 hours of delivery;
- Lodge a damage claim directly with the delivery company.
We cannot submit a complaint on your behalf if the parcel has been accepted. If you return the damaged item immediately via the delivery company, we will provide a replacement item and lodge a complaint from our end.
Age Restrictions
You must be of legal drinking age in your country of residence to purchase liquor from us.
We do not ship alcohol to the USA.
Shipping Policy
Domestic Shipping (Australia Only)
- We offer free standard shipping within Australia for purchases over $200 (retail customers only) to most Australian capital cities.
- Some products have shipping restrictions and cannot be sent to certain destinations.
- All ballot winners for special releases (e.g., Chichibu & Kanosuke Anniversary Set) receive complimentary insured shipping within Australia as part of the prize benefit.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates based on:
- Item availability;
- Shipping provider and options selected.
Shipping rates for many items are weight-based, as per our shipping providers’ policies. Weights are rounded up to the next full pound (or half-kilo).
International Shipping
We can ship to most countries worldwide; however, international shipping requires a custom quote. Please contact us at sales@casadevinos.com.au for a shipping estimate before placing your order.
- We do not offer free shipping outside Australia.
- We do not ship alcohol to the USA. If you place an order from the USA, you will need to arrange your own shipping.
Import Taxes & Duties
When ordering alcohol internationally, it is the buyer’s responsibility to be aware of and comply with local import laws, taxes, duties, and customs regulations.
- We do not cover or take responsibility for any additional charges imposed by customs authorities in the destination country.
- We do not accept liability for any customs delays or refusals.
- Customers should contact their local customs office to confirm requirements before placing an order.
By placing an order, you agree that Casa de Vinos is not responsible for any customs fees, taxes, delays, or issues with international authorities.
