Ikawa Fauna 2025 Single Malt Japanese Whisky 700ml

Ikawa is one of the newer names in Japanese whisky, and the Fauna 2025 release is the livelier, more animal‑spirited side of the distillery’s nature‑inspired duo. While details of the production regime are deliberately kept tight, what matters in the glass is clear: clean, modern Japanese malt framed by active oak and bottled with enough energy to keep things interesting.

The nose carries citrus, orchard fruit and a touch of tropical lift, with vanilla and spice from the casks. On the palate you can expect bright malt sweetness, zesty citrus, stone fruit and a slightly firmer structure than its Flora sibling. The finish is medium‑length and refreshing, with spice, fruit and oak trading places as the glass sits.

At Casa de Vinos we like to pour Fauna and Flora side by side at the Casa de Vinos Lounge so guests can see how a single distillery can express different moods. Fauna also shows up in modern‑Japan flights at Whisky Abbey, where it offers a nice counterpoint to the more established names.

For venues wanting to present a Japanese whisky list that feels current rather than nostalgic, Ikawa is an easy talking point. Trade allocations and list support are available via wholesale@casadevinos.com.au, while corporate and private tastings built around emerging Japanese producers can be arranged through sales@casadevinos.com.au.
