Ikawa Fauna 2025 Single Malt Japanese Whisky 700ml l 53% 

Fauna 2025 is Ikawa's first peated whisky release in their new Flora & Fauna range. Every year they alternate releasing a Flora or Fauna release; where Flora highlights their unpeated spirit, Fauna showcases their peated spirit. 

Tasting Notes

Nose: The nose carries citrus, orchard fruit and a touch of tropical lift, with vanilla and spice from the casks.

Palate: On the palate you can expect bright malt sweetness, zesty citrus, stone fruit and a slightly firmer structure than its Flora sibling.

Finish: The finish is medium‑length and refreshing, with spice, fruit and oak trading places as the glass sits.

Ikawa Distillery

Founded in 2020, Ikawa Distillery is located 1,200 metres above sea level in Shizuoka’s Southern Alps, making it Japan’s highest altitude whisky maker. Surrounded by pristine forest and drawing on soft spring water filtered through ancient soils, Ikawa crafts whisky shaped by its natural environment, using only oak from their parent company’s forest. Their goal is to create a 12 year age statement as their core range, which should happen in the next eight years.
