An exceptional secret Highland 20 year old matured in a bourbon hogshead for 20 years before bottling at 52.1% abv.  Although ‘secret’ the distillery on the label and the waxy honey like profile of this dram narrows it down fairly quick.  The nose brings soft orchard fruits and fresh milk chocolate, the palate brings leatherwood honey and a noble spice amalgamating to a finish of ginger, nutmeg and candid banana.

Sansibar Whisky is a German independent bottler founded by Jens Drewitz, who carefully selects and bottles some of the finest casks of whisky and rum. He initially did so with the purpose of supplying his restaurant Sansibar, but Sansibar Whisky is now held in high esteem all over the world.
