Secret Highland 9 Years Old 2013 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml | 52.5% ABV

This 2013 vintage Secret Highland shows Clynelish-like character while keeping the official identity undisclosed. It is a young, waxy and coastal single malt where salt, fruit and texture do much of the work.

Beeswax, white chocolate, apple, yeasty dough and wet slate lead on the nose. The palate is maritime and vivid, with green apple skin, citrus and a waxy texture, before a mineral finish with more wax and lingering gentle smoke. A good pick when coastal Highland tension and texture are the main appeal.
