Clase Azul Día de Muertos 2026 Limited Edition – Trascender

A celebration of Mexican tradition, craftsmanship and the bonds that outlive time, Clase Azul Trascender opens a new chapter in the house’s annual Día de Muertos releases. Following the conclusion of the Nuestros Recuerdos series, Trascender draws inspiration from the ancestral beliefs of Mexico’s Indigenous peoples and the soul’s luminous journey towards the Sun. Its tequila and handcrafted ceramic decanter reflect the belief that those we love remain with us through memory, ritual and celebration.

The Tequila

Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco brings together two añejo tequilas, each aged for more than 30 months. One is finished in casks previously used to ferment wine destined for Champagne production, while the other is matured in American whiskey casks. The wine casks contribute an aromatic legacy reminiscent of toasted walnuts and freshly baked bread, complemented by the warm, toasted character of the American whiskey casks. The resulting blend balances delicate fruit, depth and freshness, with a full body and silky texture.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Bright gold with luminous highlights.

Aroma: Pear compote, ripe apple and peach, with notes of honey, sourdough bread and toasted oak.

Palate: Silky and rounded, with ripe pear, agave nectar, cacao nibs and toasted walnut. Finish: Long and warm, with subtle spice and a delicate acidity that brings freshness.

The Decanter

The ceramic decanter transitions from deep blue to vibrant magenta, a hue inspired by mano de león, the crimson flower traditionally placed on Día de Muertos altars to honour the departed. An intricate floral composition evokes the petal-strewn paths that guide loved ones home. Two marigolds, hand-painted using Clase Azul’s signature feathered brushstrokes, symbolise the soul in transformation, while 24-karat gold strokes trace its ascent towards the Sun. Tiny skulls and delicate droplets reveal themselves on closer inspection, honouring the duality of life and death.
