Kanosuke Single Malt Japanese Whisky

This release marks the inaugural core range single malt whisky from Kanosuke Distillery.

“Mellow Land” is crafted using a combination of their three distinct pot stills and matured in re-charred American white oak ex-“Mellowed Kozuru” aged shochu casks. The whisky is carefully blended, with this key malt serving as the foundation before bottling.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Ripened citrus fruit (Karin), honey, banana, lemon tea, caramel
Taste: A sunset-like flavour with ginger, honey, and lightly smoked nuts
Finish: Sweet aroma, mildly bitter with a long, gentle finish

Kanosuke Distillery

Founded in 2017, Kanosuke Distillery is already making waves in the world of whisky, with its innovative approach to production and maturation. The distillery itself is located in Kagoshima Prefecture on the southern Island Kyushu. Kanosuke also has a long history of distilling shochu in Japan, allowing them access to their very own shochu casks. Their combination of traditional whisky making techniques with the addition of ex-Shochu barrels for maturation create a unique whisky profile not found elsewhere.
