Benrinnes 12 Years Old 2011 Pomerol Finish Berry Bros. & Rudd 700ml | 53.9% ABV

This 2011 Benrinnes from Berry Bros. & Rudd was finished in a cask that previously held Pomerol wine, adding red-fruit depth and gentle oak structure to the distillery's weighty Speyside spirit. The wine influence gives the whisky a softer fruit and floral register without removing Benrinnes' natural body.

The nose shows strawberry, cherry, blackcurrant, chocolate, oak, nutmeg and cinnamon. The palate turns richer and more floral, with violet, lavender, malt, apricot and melon, before a velvety finish of lychee, wild strawberry, white peach, almond, chestnut and praline.
