Barbadillo Peach Brandy from Jerez, Spain, 500ml | 30%

When we tried a sample of this from the distillery we couldn't help but bring a few bottles to Australia for everyone to enjoy.

This particular brandy is first aged, then infused with peach extract and further aged in the same casks. This allows the peach extract to fully integrate with the spirit, creating a beautiful blend of sweet peach and brandy which is perfect for sipping over ice or for mixing fantastic cocktails; our favourite being a peach sour.

This comes from a recipe that belonged to Beatrix of Saxony, wife of Prince Alfonso of  Orleans and Borbón, one of the first spanish aviators, who, in collaboration with Barbadillo began to make this liqueur in Spain, much of which ended up in the Royal Household. The depth and complexity of the aged brandy combined with the smooth peach flavor, makes for a perfect aperitif or after dinner drink, on the rocks or with sparkling wine.
