Bunnahabhain Staoisha 9 Years Old 2014 Artist Collective 7 700ml | 48% ABV

This peated Bunnahabhain, bottled under the Staoisha name for Artist Collective 7, was drawn from a small batch of four re-charred hogsheads and limited to 1,687 bottles. It shows the oily, maritime side of Islay peat rather than a purely medicinal profile.

The nose brings sea spray, salt, citrus, old hay and a mezcal-like earthiness. The palate follows with intense smoke, brine, salted caramel, lemon and white pepper, before a long, oily and firmly coastal finish.
