This 2016 Thailand rum from the Flag Series was distilled in a column still, then matured for four years in a tropical climate before further continental ageing. At 61%, it carries the intensity of a high-strength rum while keeping a refined aromatic line.

The nose moves from rancio, apricot kernel and beeswax into prune, roasted mango, guava, banana and rum baba. The palate is clean and vibrant, with fresh sugar cane, warm cane sugar, blood orange and caramelised apricot tart, finishing long on walnut husk, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, cocoa and candied ginger.
