Michter's Barrel Strength Kentucky Straight Rye presents the distillery's rye whiskey in a bigger, higher-strength style. At 54.8% ABV, it carries the spice, sweetness and oak with more force than the standard US 1 Rye.

The nose brings dark rye spice, cinnamon, butterscotch, maple sugar, fresh rye bread, stewed fruit and root beer. The palate is intense, with rye spice, toffee, caramel, black pepper, liquorice, walnut, brown sugar, burnt orange peel, molasses and stone fruit, finishing long with cinnamon, oak char, gingerbread and spearmint.
