Papalin Haiti 4 Year Old was aged in a varied mix of casks, including Caroni and Mount Gay rum barrels, Buffalo Trace bourbon casks and Cognac casks. The result is a Haitian rum with an unusually travelled maturation story, while still keeping its Haitian character at the centre.

The nose is full and heady, with pineapple, cut hay, vanilla, pepper, clove and warmer spice. The palate is rich, with vanilla, tuberose, praline, malt-like bitterness, honey, liquorice and pipe tobacco. The finish is long, moving through rice pudding, flan, pear and Mirabelle plum.
