Williamson 15 Years Old 2010 Blended Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml | 57.1% ABV

This 2010 vintage Williamson from Thompson Bros is a 15 year old Islay blended malt in the Laphroaig family of style: tarry, savoury, coastal and heavily textured. At 57.1% ABV, it has the strength to carry both smoke and cask sweetness.

The nose is dark and savoury, with tarry ropes, walnut oil, maple syrup, spice biscuit, black sesame, muscovado, crushed walnut, smoked fish, sugared almond, date and miso. The palate brings resinous smoke, dark tea, ginger, miso, salty soy and heavy peat, finishing punchy and dry with clove, mace, brine and lingering smoke.
