Akkeshi Shoman is part of the distillery's seasonal Japanese whisky series, with this blended whisky released in Japan in March 2023. It is framed around ex-bourbon American oak maturation and a medium-peated profile.

The aroma carries iodine, wet earth and malt honey. The palate moves through salt, honey and dried apricot, with Akkeshi's coastal peat and malt character staying restrained rather than heavy, before a finish of sea salt and earthy malt. It gives a useful view of Akkeshi's seasonal house style beyond single malt alone.
