A 25 year old Ardbeg distilled in 2000 and bottled for Artist #15's Something In The Water chapter. This is a mature, deeply peated Islay whisky that still carries the distillery's coastal force.

Smoke, soot, ash and saline peat lead the nose, before apricot, mango, roasted nuts, candied orange, salted butter caramel, iris and wild geranium build with air. The palate is ample and full-bodied, with marmalade, tarte Tatin, heather honey, linden honey, agave, tar, smoked bacon, iodine, porridge and toasted bread. The finish is silky, smoky and rooty, with ginseng, gentian, smoked fish and lingering tarry peat.
