Older Glen Spey is not often seen as a standalone single malt, which makes this 26 year old The Whisky Agency release a useful look at the distillery's lighter Speyside character in detail.

Aromatically, it shows bold yellow fruits, honeyed malt, apples and pears. The palate moves darker, with quince jelly, fig relish, more orchard fruit, ale and wet slate, before a mineral finish with yellow fruit and bright malt.

Staff Tasting Notes from Will - 

A beautifully mature dram, my go to style of old-school speyside whiskies. Lots of red apple skins, honey biscuits with a crispy, almost gentle minerality on the finish. Incredibly fresh for something of this age!
