Secret Islay 11 Years Old 2010 Port Barrique Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml | 52.2% ABV

This 2010 vintage Secret Islay was bottled by The Whisky Agency for Casa de Vinos x Whisky Abbey 2022 after 11 years in a port barrique. It is a young Islay release with a clear cask identity: medicinal peat, dark fruit and savoury richness all pushing through at 52.2% ABV.

The nose brings pan-fried bacon, mushroom sauce, dry port, blackberry jam, milk chocolate, coal peat and a hint of red-berry cask sulphur. The palate continues with blackberry, dark chocolate, date, caramel, bold oak, sultana and dense fruit, with medicinal iodine peat staying firm. The finish adds fennel, earthy texture, minerality, caramelised peat and a final touch of bacon and blackberry chocolate.
