This Williamson was matured entirely in a single PX cask for 11 years before being bottled in 2023. Williamson is the name used by Laphroaig Distillery when they sell casks to independent bottlers; named after Bessie Williamson, a former distillery manager for Laphroaig.

Originally Jens bottled for the purpose of supplying his restaurant of the same name, however his bottlings became increasingly popular over time and now Sansibar Whisky is held in high esteem across the whisky drinking world. Their distinct watercolour labels are an icon in their own right and look beautiful on shelves; a testament to their quality with each label being hand-painted for every cask.
