Nose: rich and unctuous. Revealing lard, earth, malt (cooked barley), medicinal (ointment), ash, salt and empyreumatic notes of rubber, the nose explores every inch of a multifaceted and omnipresent peat. Allowed to breathe, heady fragrances of lily and wild geranium, as well as juicy aromas of orange and clementine bring great sophistication.

Palate: powerful, invigorating. Picking up exactly where the nose left off, the palate adds apricot, mango and curry flavours. Peat has made way for intense smoke and tertiary notes linger on oily tar and pipe tobacco.

Finish: long, silky. The finish reveals a very silky mouthfeel and is characterised by dried apricot and dark chocolate. On the retro-nasal olfaction, a now oily peat seeps deep into the sides of the mouth. The empty glass brings autumnal and medicinal notes and recreates the feel of the first nose.
