Blended Scotch Whisky 47 Years Old 1977 700ml | 40.3% ABV

This 47 year old blended Scotch from Thompson Bros is built around a 1976 blend containing Clynelish, Teaninich, Dailuaine and Invergordon, then further blended with 1977 Invergordon grain whisky. It is a rare old-style blend where age, texture and grain-malt integration are the main story.

The profile moves through toasted woodchips, plum, cinnamon, redcurrant, forest floor, rosemary and grapefruit peel, then into custard, wood glue, vanilla extract, Alpine herbal spirit and nutty chocolate. The finish is drying and mature, with stewed red fruit and hazelnut.
