Blended Scotch Whisky 47 Years Old 1977 700ml | 40.3%

Part of this blend is made up of a 1976 blend bought already blended. This is made up of Clyneslish, Teaninich, Dailuiane and Invergordon. This was further blended with some 1977 Invergordon grain whisky. 

Official Tasting Notes:

Nose: Toasted woodchips, plums, cinnamon, recurrent, forest floor, rosemary, grapefruit peel.

Palate: Ambrosia custard, wood glue, vanilla extract, zirbenschnaps, Snickers bar.

Finish: Drying, stewed red fruits with hazelnuts.

After establishing one of the world’s leading whisky bars in Dornoch, brothers Phil & Simon Thompson expanded their vision by creating their own independent bottling company titled Thompson Bros. In addition to this new endeavour, they also began distilling whisky and gin onsite at Dornoch Castle Hotel. Since 2017 they have been releasing outstanding whisky and rums through their Thompson Bros label as well as laying down hundreds of casks filled with soon to be Dornoch Whisky.
