A 2009 Ardmore from Artist #15, bottled at 15 years old for The Dark Side Of The Moon selection. It is the peated whisky in this sherry-led chapter of the range, giving the release a firm Highland smoke profile rather than a purely sweet cask-led style.

Dry herbal peat and dense smoke lead the nose, followed by barley, sea salt, orange zest, apricot, chocolate, clove and cayenne. The palate is concentrated and smooth, with gentian, barley porridge, ripe banana, lavender honey, broom and mimosa beneath a soft cigar-smoke veil. The finish turns medicinal, vegetal and gently coastal.
