Bruichladdich Octomore 16.3 61.6% l 700ml

The most intense of the three, bottled at higher strength and built for drinkers who enjoy Octomore at full throttle. Expect a huge aromatic hit of smoke, kiln dust and coastal air, wrapped around concentrated citrus, vanilla and sweet malt. A splash of water opens it into grilled stone fruit, cocoa and charry oak without losing that firm backbone.

As with previous “.3” style Octomore releases, 16.3 is designed to show just how far the distillery can push peat and strength while still holding the line on balance. It’s not an everyday dram – more a bottle you open when you want to show friends what modern Islay whisky is capable of, or as a statement piece in a serious collection.

Casa de Vinos will pour Octomore 16.3 in carefully limited quantities at Casa de Vinos Lounge, alongside other Bruichladdich and Port Charlotte expressions in curated flights. For trade and corporate customers, 16.3 can anchor tasting events or masterclasses – contact wholesale@casadevinos.com.au to discuss access and activation options.

Nose: Blooming heather and distant bonfire smoke. Soft notes of barley sugar and freshly baked bread are brightened with hints of lemon zest and green apple peel, underpinned by delicate florals. Peat smoke is present but restrained.

Palate: A symphony of honeyed malt, toasted grain and a distinctive earthiness greet the palate. Orchard fruits, citrus and a touch of vanilla sweetness follow, whilst delicate threads of smoke and salinity weave through the malt, providing a gentle counterpoint to heather and coconutty gorse.

Finish: A medium-length finish of sweet barley, accompanied by subtle floral notes, which give way to the gentle smokiness of a beach bonfire. Citrus and a touch of minerality linger on.
