The new Equilibre rum from the Neisson distillery is a blend of three aged rums from the Profiles range (62, 105 and 107). Each of these rums, aged for between 12 and 24 months in new American oak casks, benefits from a distinct toasting, revealing rich and diverse aromas. Reduced to 49%, the balanced profile reveals floral, fruity, spicy and woody notes that ‘balance’ perfectly. The bottle is adorned with a motif painted by Martinique artist Carole Aurore, whose world is characterised by colourful compositions combining drawings and symbols that are fresh and vibrant, just like this blended rum.

Official Tasting Notes:

Nose: Fresh and subtle. At once lemony, vanilla and milky (coconut), the aromatic palette quickly evolves towards more vegetal registers (sugar cane), resinous (pine sap) and honeyed (acacia).

Appearance: Or vif.

Palate: Full-bodied and smooth. Remarkably well-balanced, the palette of flavours is reminiscent of a Speyside single malt, both herbal and fruity (pear, plum). Then it returns to Martinique, revealing flavours of fresh cane honey and ripe banana.

Overall : Long and silky. Slightly aniseed-flavoured, the tasting now takes on exotic (pineapple, coconut) and spicy (ginseng, clove) flavours.
