Secret Speyside 30 Years Old 1991 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

This Secret Speyside 30 year old was distilled in 1991 and matured in a hogshead before bottling in 2021 at 50.5% abv.   Another Secret Speyside single cask that is an absolute gem!  When this distillery opened it became the first licensed in its area and claimed a name that many of the 200 illegal distilleries in the area would have liked to have had for themselves.  Always a treat when trying a whisky of this calibre expect a bright nose of autumn leaves on the ground after fresh rain, eucalyptus, honey and freshly baked sourdough.   The palate is delicious with sweet honey toast at the start progressing to noble spices of nutmeg and ginger with a long malty finish that lingers and changes between chocolate and citrus.
