Secret Speyside 30 Years Old 1991 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml | 50.5%

This Secret Speyside 30 year old was distilled in 1991 and matured in a hogshead before bottling in 2021 at 50.5% abv. Another Secret Speyside single cask that is an absolute gem!  When this distillery opened it became the first licensed in its area and claimed a name that many of the 200 illegal distilleries in the area would have liked to have had for themselves. Always a treat when trying a whisky of this calibre.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Bright autumn leaves on the ground after fresh rain, eucalyptus, honey and freshly baked sourdough.

Palate: Sweet honey toast at the start progressing to noble spices of nutmeg and ginger.

Finish: Long malty finish that lingers and changes between chocolate and citrus.
