Ballechin 12 Years Old 2013 Jurancon Cask Itineraires 700ml | 48.2% ABV

This 2013 Ballechin was matured entirely in Jurancon wine casks, pairing the distillery's peated Highland malt with the fruit and lift of south-west French sweet wine. The result sits in a more aromatic and honeyed register than a purely bourbon-cask peated malt.

The nose is abundantly fruity, with ripe stone fruit, floral honey, fresh herbs and soft peat smoke. The palate follows with white fruit, golden honey, gentle spice and a refined smoky backbone, finishing long on honeyed fruit, herbal freshness and warming peat.
