Ikawa Flora 2024 Single Malt Japanese Whisky 700ml

Flora 2024 is the gentler half of Ikawa’s nature‑driven series, highlighting the floral and aromatic side of the distillery’s spirit. Where Fauna leans into structure and energy, Flora is all about perfume, texture and ease of drinking – a style that sits comfortably with the softer end of Japanese single malt.

The nose offers blossom, fresh citrus, pear and light vanilla. On the palate you get sweet malt, gentle fruit, a little honey and a soft, rounded mouthfeel, with oak in a supporting role rather than dominating. The finish is clean and calm, making this a natural choice for people who prefer elegance over power.

At Casa de Vinos Lounge, Flora is often the first Ikawa we pour for guests before stepping up to Fauna or other bolder Japanese malts. It will also appear in exploratory Japanese whisky flights at Whisky Abbey, where we use it to explain what newer producers are doing differently.
