Nikka Coffey Malt Japanese Whisky 700ml - 45%

Since 1934 Nikka have been pumping out some exceptional whiskies. Following their heavy Scottish influence their larger, robust whiskies have taken out a heap of awards. Now we get to taste one of their secret weapons that has been released as it's own line, the Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky.   Distilled in a coffey still to give a lighter style of whisky, the malt has ripped a tonne of character out of the barrels it has been housed in, while still showing off the exuberance of the spirit it stemmed from. A highly sought after whisky showing a tonne of citrus on the nose with a hint of orchard fruit whioch all carry straight through to the palate where they are joined by vanilla, caramel and a hint of chocolate. The finish just goes on and on.
