This stunning Caol Ila was bottled for Whisky Abbey 2023 after 15 years of maturing in a single bourbon cask. 

Tasting Notes

Nose: Waves of hickory-smoked ham and smoked mussels meet the briny freshness of ocean air, underscored by fragrant eucalyptus and a touch of burnt citrus.

Palate: A symphony of savoury peat, salted roasted nuts, and a delicate hint of noble spice creates a complex and satisfying flavour journey.

Finish: The experience concludes with the gentle sweetness of manuka honey, the elegance of poached pears, and the floral brightness of lemon myrtle.
