This 18 year old Highland single malt from Thompson Bros is built around peated spirit aged in refill wood. It sits in a coastal, mineral and smoky Highland style, bottled at a measured 48.5% ABV.

Expect charred hazelnut, dusty peated malt, burnt sage, rosemary, oily fishing ropes, tar, creel, crushed seashell and heather smoke on the nose. The palate is powerful and salty, with citrus, heather honey, stewed apple, wet slate, smoked ham, anchovy and brine, finishing with peanut brittle, earthy peat and cigar smoke.
