Nose: rich, deep. Dark chocolate, dried apricots, iris concentrate, roasted mango, toasted walnuts and coffee mingle, harking back to years spent aging in sherry casks. This dense, complex aroma profile is gradually enveloped in ash, soil, tar, coal and incense lifted by a sea breeze.

Palate: clean, elegant. The palate opens with a burst of oily peat and smooth, creamy chocolate and trails off with impressive length. Maritime, sea salt notes ease their way through, blending with hints of praline, apricot and bacon, while nuances of medicinal and truffle showcase a rare nobility.

Finish: dense, concentrated. Looping back to the nose’s heady expression of iris concentrate, before evolving into chocolate, camphor and vegetal notes on the finish. Mineral (slate, charcoal) and charred (crème brûlée, warm ashes), the retro-nasal olfaction evaporates into an empty glass where sandalwood, prune, blood orange and incense linger.
