Sutherland Blended Scotch Malt Whisky 5 Years Old 2023 Edition 700ml | 48.5% ABV

Sutherland 2023 is Thompson Bros' blended malt built around whiskies from the Sutherland region in northern Scotland. The blend combines Clynelish 2014 and 2015 refill-bourbon components, Dornoch 2017 spirit moved through sherry and refill Glen Moray wood, and a tiny addition of 1982 Brora from Gordon & MacPhail.

That construction makes the bottle more interesting than its five-year age statement might first suggest. It is designed for drinkers who enjoy coastal Highland waxiness, young Dornoch energy and a deliberately detailed Thompson Bros blending approach.
